Attacking

It's not brave to attack Spike when you are level 5, its stupid. Don't attack someone/something you can't handle. To evaluate your target you can use for instance the commands "consider <target>" or "query <target>" this will give you an idea of how hard the target will hit and how much it can take. There is also equipment for this purpose, for example, the data computer or the black set.

Special equipment

There is also some equipment with specials, which can be very useful in combat. Items that improves the healing of force points, for example the crystal ring or the crimson force. (very good when fighting using beams) Equipment like LAWs,Wands, Pincher Grenades,s38 units, sandtrooper boots and blast rings that causes extra damage during fighting.

In the heat

Before you attack, be sure to have a safe escape route. Do you know which way to go? Can you escape quickly or will your target still be able to hit you while you're leaving? Also, leave in time. Some high-level monsters has specials that they only uses sometimes. Try to find out how many hp in damage the monster can do to you in one hit and always leave the room before your hp drops below that amount.

Beams

Beams are very useful in combat, so try to raise your beam affective skills fast. There are three different type of beams: alpha, beta and gamma. Alpha costs 10 fp and does 20 hp in max damage. Beta costs 15fp and does max 30 hp. Gamma costs 20 fp and damage 55 hp (though it depends on alter skill)

Healing

Healing is very important. Don't start fighting if you don't have heals with you. There are some different types of heals.

As you can see there are many types of healing, so try them all and find your own favourites. Also find places where you can go to fast and heal. Often you can't kill a monster in one run even if you are loaded with heals, you have to go somewhere to sober up and buy even more heals. Places I often use is Apok, Honoghr and Triton (best in the morning I think)

Team fighting

To fight in teams are both useful and funny, you can take on bigger monsters and you get more experience from watching other players fight. In the future, if PK (player killing) is allowed, team fighting will play a more important part of the game and if you're already good at it then, it'll save you many lives.

Here is an example of a commonly used technique when two persons (A & B) are team-killing a monster. A attacks first and takes all the pounding. Then B attacks, using beams only. When A is getting low on hp, they switch. That means that A leaves the room and the monster starts attacking B. Then A enters again. Now A will only use beams and B will take all the hits. When B is low on hp, both player leaves the room and goes healing. Then they'll start all over again.

To start a team use the 'team' command. 'team new' creates a new team. 'team name name' changes the name. To ask another player to join, be in the same room and type 'team add player'. The teams status can be monitored by 'team status'. More commands are available, just type 'team help'.

Good luck to you and your team!
